Cosimo Mammoliti was raised by Italian immigrants who fled war-torn Italy looking for a better life in Canada. One thing they couldn’t leave behind was the comforting food and the unique traditions centred around the Italian kitchen table. In 1992, Cosi and friend Paolo Scoppio opened their first "Terroni" location, which over the years has grown to twelve restaurants, bakeries and shops across North America. In 2021, they wanted to get their quality Italian food into more homes so they created Porta. Porta uses the highest quality ingredients, combined with time honoured techniques to make delicious pizza, pasta, risotto, dessert and pastries.
